Not specific to any country, organisation, or group, International Women's Day is a day to recognize the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. It’s about unity, celebration, reflection, advocacy, and action – whatever that looks like on a local level.
A video series featuring chef Dominique Crenn and artist Claire Tabouret from our AW20 Collective (read about the stars of this seasons UGG Collective here), #POWEREDBYHER celebrates women empowering women. Wearing styles made in partnership with HERproject, a collaborative initiative that educates and empowers women in our supply chain, these women pass on the power – sharing their personal experiences of what success looks like, how they achieved it, and challenges they had to overcome that we can learn from.
UGG presents #POWEREDBYHER: Featuring Dominique Crenn
Wearing the LA Cloud Low Sneaker, Dominique Crenn is an award-winning French chef and restaurateur in San Francisco. She’s the first woman in the United States to receive three Michelin stars for her restaurant Atelier Crenn, and the recipient of last year’s James Beard Award for Best Chef. Driven by passion and purpose, the success of her restaurants proves that hard work, dedication, and distinct vision can defy all odds.
UGG presents #POWEREDBYHER: Featuring Claire Tabouret
Wearing the Fluff Yeah Slide, Claire Tabouret is a French artist based in Los Angeles. Immersed in the arts at an early age, her figurative paintings, drawings, and sculptures deconstruct the female form and explore the enigmas of childhood. Drawing inspiration from mythology, history, and personal experience, her work offers an impassioned and uninhibited commentary on outdated notions of femininity.
We've introduced a collaborative initiative - HERproject, that educates and empowers women in our supply chain. Since 2016, we've trained over 25,000 women with the goal of 100,000 by 2027.
